MARNEY MCQUEEN

MEDIA

Actor • Musical Theatre • Presenter • Singer • Voice Artist

Marney McQueen gets it right, first time every time, and has created a name for herself as one of Australia's most versatile voiceover talents. A graduate of NIDA's Acting degree, Marney has applied her chameleon-like abilities in many dramatic and comedic roles in film and TV. However, it is in her live stand up comedy shows that she truly shines. As Rosa Waxoffski, Celebrity Bikini Waxer, Marney has toured the world. In musical theatre, Marney debuted in the Australian premiere of Priscilla Queen of the Desert - The Musical; starred as 'Velma Von Tussle' in Hairspray; and as 'Nina' in Dreamlover, alongside David Campbell.

Bubbly, sexy, friendly, mumsy...Marney can do it all. She is equally at home with dramatic reads and dialogue as she is with comedy and characters. She is also funny, delightful, dedicated and easily directed. Barry Humphries once said of Marney, "She has the goods". That she does.

We do: Why thousands of Australians are saying yes to marriage celebrants. ARTICLE: Sydney Morning Herald

Celebrant Marney McQueen, a singer, actress, dancer and comedian, told the story of how the couple met and at one point playfully admonished her grooms: “You are not married quite yet, just a little while longer.”

McQueen then performed a duet of the Barbra Streisand and Céline Dion hit Tell Him with Stark, followed by an impromptu rendition of Moon River with singer David Campbell, a guest sitting at her table, for the couple’s first waltz.
