Marriage Celebrant
Hi lovers, it’s Marney here, as a marriage celebrant I’m thrilled to be officiating weddings all over the NSW Central Coast, the Hunter Valley and Sydney (and all over Australia). Each couple I meet is totally different so I write a ceremony from scratch which reflects you guys and the style of ceremony you’re after. Most couples are after a relaxed, fresh approach to their ceremony, but whatever it is, the ceremony is what kicks off your wedding and sets the tone for the whole day.
I enjoy a casual, more traditional ceremony as much as I enjoy a ceremony that features a group singalong. They are all different, depending on who you are. I specialise in simple but fabulous ceremonies, with equal amounts of humour and heart.
I also love emceeing at wedding receptions ... which means you don’t have to trouble anyone else to do it … and let’s face it, once your hilarious cousin Betsy has had a few drinks she isn’t going to be following the run sheet. As your emcee I work with all your suppliers to make sure the whole reception runs smoothly and everyone (caterer, venue, photographer, videographer, Cousin Betsy) is happy. So you guys can just chill and enjoy the day.
I’m not a frustrated performer who needs to use your wedding ceremony as a platform for me to get an audience, quite the contrary. I get enough stage time elsewhere that I am very happy to let you guys shine brighter than the stars on your big day. I just use my theatrical experience to make sure your whole day is crafted and delivered in an uplifting, joyful, funny and heartfelt package.
I can even throw in a few songs to kick off the dance floor session, or while you cut the cake ;)
I also do legals-only ceremonies, if you’re after a quickie with just you guys and 2 witnesses.

This wedding went all day and all night! Here I am hosting a singalong for the grooms.

An elopement is always a good idea! See this guy on the right? He was a random we grabbed who witnessed the ceremony and signed the documents, along with the photographer! Too easy.
